Great location, great view, but high prices. Went for lunch and the prices you pay are incredibly higher than surrounding places. However, the food is fabulous and the service is outstanding...

$12 delivery charge? by liz359 on Nov 2, 2006

Ok maybe ordering dinner from Barney's wasn't the smartest idea but the food is really good. I was shocked when dinner arrived last night accompanied by a $12...

Nice location but too expensive for lunch! by kellysan24 on Oct 24, 2006

The lunch menu is a bit pricey. I had the chopped chicken salad for $23.00. Was it worth that price? I don't think so....your basically paying for the luxury of eating in Barney's. I can think of much better places to go...

Barneys...sigh by westandy66 on Nov 2, 2005

I love barneys. I love freds. Get the burgers, the chicken soup, the white truffle pizza [to die for], and the pesto penne. Great people watching. Only down side is the long wait at lunchtime. Get there early and beat it....

Fred's @ Barney's by willis69 on Sep 23, 2004

The food is decent, the menu varied enough to satisfy everyone, and the service attentive. The room, on the 9th floor of Barney's, has an airy feel and has an appealing decor, but expect to pay a price for this high end real...

Pricey American cafe favorites popular with the ladies who lunch and Midtown execs. by Allison Austin on Sep 15, 2004

Service is fairly formal and reliably good. The Food Offering pizzas, entree-sized salads, various sandwiches, and pasta, fish and meat entrees, the menu aims to please. Hefty burgers with excellent fries find a home on most...

not to eat by erinbehan_citysearch on Aug 24, 2004

Most of the people who eat here are thin, and once you order something, you'll see why. Though there are standouts--the thin chicken soup and the fries--most of the food is sub-par. Paying $32 for a lobster wrap with shreds...
