price raised for no reason.... by marc_m_22 on Aug 24, 2008

This year we were very surprised to see a price of $125 per night, on par with and even more expensive than other high price but far more upscale hotels in the area. .We were very dissapointed as we have chosen the Edgewater...

Okay for the area by azhottraveler 17 contributions on Aug 11, 2007

The much bragged about wood chip companies are in full view with a train next door to the hotel. It wasn't awful but not what we expected for a room with a water view. The hotel is older and we had a large room that had newer...

Too high priced for quality. by A Yahoo! Contributor on Feb 12, 2008

The view is of businesses on the other side of the slough. It is at least 40 miutes away from the beaches, parks or golf courses they say are nearby. If you are in Coos Bay, I'd reccommend The Mill Casino hotel. It actually...

Great water view rooms for $82!! by Frequent travelers 41 contributions on Jul 22, 2006

Huge room, very neat overlooking estuary (more than half the rooms are) - skip those which face the parking lot unless you are desperate. There aren't any better options in Coos Bay. Go to fish house in Charleston (5 miles)...

Edgewater: The good and the bad by DanielOBensonMD  on Jun 25, 2006

They have nice showers and plush towels. They also have free WIFI, it’s a very good value. Cons: There’s no restaurant on site, and the beds are hard! I am not likely to return to the Edgewater Inn. I might recommend...
